It is common for an individual to change after being promoted to a higher status. When people question this individual's change, they respond by either faulting their peers, environment and the world. This leads to a further reaffirmation in the individual's negative transformation. Peers, the environment and world are not to blame for an increase in one's pride, only the individual themselves. Then, what lies in the core of change?

In truth, is it not the surfacing of one's deepest desires that conquers their thoughts and actions? In this case, change is clearly apparent, because humbleness prevented the over-ruling of selfish ambitions. Therefore, even with success and advancements, one should never forget their gentle and courteous ways.

Change is inevitable. However, there are two forms of change: those induced by others and those self-induced. The change we must fight against are changes meant for other's preferences.

So, how can we differentiate between rightful, needed changes? This question can only be answered by your own self. Do not be afraid to answer this question, because everyone retains the clarity to pave their own path.
